I took Kaylin and Dax to see Kung Fu Panda the other day and well...we survived!!  The first half hour was pretty good, then Dax just wanted to crawl up and down the stairs in the theater--he really liked the lights along the floor!  So yes, I know...absolutely disgusting!  I NEVER thought I would let my kid crawl around on a gross movie theater floor, but I did! (He also got straight in the bath when we got home!) Anyway, Kaylin did pretty well, however, at one point I did have Kaylin heading toward the front of the theater and Dax crawling as fast as he can to the back!  Luckily there weren't many people in the theater, which is why we went when we did, but still!  Just trying to get out and do some fun things...but sometimes I wonder if it was worth all of the work?!!! :)

Movies are kind of a no go for us too! We took Eden one day and it didn't go too well! But the zoo looked like it was fun! I love going to the zoo! We went to the indy zoo and it was so fun! That kids area sounds like so much fun!!

Thank you. Know what I never even tried TJ Maxx.. I guess I didn't think they had children's clothes. I am such an addict when it comes to kids clothing. My favorite right now for Brooklyn is Old Navy and Children's Place, but I have such a hard time shopping for Maddox.

Thank you again.. I will definitely try TJ Maxx and Nordstroms.. though I don't know where the Nordstrom Rack is. (I love outlet stores!! Park City is my fav.. but I also don't travel too much. I am stuck here for a while, haha

BTW: You have extremely cute kids as well. They have such cute faces!!

I know what you mean! Taking kids to do really fun things can turn into more work than fun...and I just have one kid to wrestle with! You're a great mom!

I wonder that same thing almost everyday! Why do I bother trying to do fun things when it is always MORE work than fun (for me). But I guess the alternative is sitting in my house. So I usually go, someday it will get easier, right?!?

I so agree with you. I love finding new things to do for Brooklyn and Maddox AND sometimes I wonder why I even left the house... haha

Thanks. I am so going shopping now.

How fun, I wanted to take my kids to see that movie too, but I have a feeling that would happen to me too! It's still fun though. Your pictures of your kids are so cute, they are getting so big! It sounds like you are having fun in CA!

You are so brave. I have only taken Savanna once and we were with Danny's entire family so I had lots of help. And, I took Sadie once when she was in her kolicy stage, huge mistake. So, I haven't been back since and definately never attempted taking two.

It is fun to see your family. It was also fun to look through the list of your friends who have blogs and see Fago, Hugh Holbrook and Williams. Thanks for asking if I had a blog. It opened the door for me to see other peope I haven't seen for a long time.

You have the best eyes ever. You should enter in some sort of contest. so pretty. I know the feeling of trying new things and having them become disasters. We went biking for the first time with Bridget and she was fine at first but the helmet kept creeping over her face, which what's worse? head injury or suffication? Anyway, by the end she was bright red from throwing the world's best fit and crying her eyes out. Oh well, she needs to deal with it, It's going to be happening a lot this summer. Poor thing. Cute pictures of you and the kids.

Hi! This kristen (lundquist) Christensen. I'm a friend of your Bretton's (from the Clovis days). I hope you don't mind, but I take a peek ever so often...your family is just so darn cute!! I totally related to the movie thing. I've got a 3 1/2 yr old, a 2 yr old and a 4 month old and attempted the same thing. It was a mess. But silly me, I'll probably try it again when the next cute movie comes out :) you're a good mommy!

All of my kids have crawled up and down the stairs of movie theaters and worse. I swear it makes them immune to everything. Especially Sam. He is never sick. When he was three I have found him eating parts of a pretzle under the stands at Ben's baseball game. Boys are gross outs.

Even if they are too young to remember the activity, your kids will always remember that you are a mom that takes them to do fun stuff and spends a ton of time with them.
