NeW yOrK, nEw YoRk...

Well, this last weekend Breton and I took a little 5 day trip to New York City!!  We hadn't been there since I was pregnant with Kaylin so it was so fun to go back!  The food, the shops, the shows...everything about it was so great--for us at least!  So back at home...Mike, Alicia, Ashlee and her new hubby, Shay (keep in mind they have been home from their honeymoon for 1 week) were watching KK and Dax for us while we were away.  This was the first time we've left the kids with someone other than my mom.  Well, Sunday morning I get a call and Dax had the flu!  Throwing up over and over...sick as can be!  This is also the first time Dax has ever been super sick--and of course it happens when we are out of town...that darn "murphey's law"!  Anyway, to cut the story short...Ashlee ends up getting it so Shay is trying to take care of 2 kids and his sick wife!  Mike gets it a few days later, I get it a few days after being home, and then finally Alicia!!   Pure craziness!!  Anyway, I was SO SO proud of how well my cute siblings handled everything...helping each other out and taking care of sick babies!!  They were so wonderful and we really can't thank them enough!!!

Yeah, no sparing calories here!  So delicious!!!

Our hotel was right next to Central Park so we would go running in the mornings through the park...so fun!!

Finally, we saw "Lion King" and it was fabulous!!  I have been wanting to see this since we were here last!

What a great game...The Giants won in overtime against the Cincinnati Bengals!!

The Best Pizza in NY...we ate here twice it was so good!!  

The most famous bakery in NYC...couldn't leave NY without eating a cupcake from the girls' favorite dessert place on "Sex and the City"!!

One of my best friends from high school lives in the city...it was so fun to go to dinner with her and catch up!!

So of course I dragged Breton to "Regis and Kelly" (last time I made him go to "The View", which I feel is probably worse) He is such a good sport!! :)  It was great...we sat in the front row!  I love their show and I must say how cute and darling and itty bitty Kelly is!  She is so freakin' cute...even more so in person!!

Such a fun trip!!!

aLL AbOuT mY "BaBiEs"...

So beware...here are just a bunch of random pictures of my "sweet little babies!"  Even though they really aren't babies anymore...I just LOVE them to pieces and can't believe how fast they are growing up!!  

So I told Kaylin to try doing a "small" smile without showing her teeth and this is what she gave me...I thought it was pretty funny because it looks like straight attitude!!  She really was happy, I promise!! :)

Well, the big day finally arrived!!  Lots and lots of wedding stuff these past few weeks and it was such a fun and beautiful day!  Ashlee was such a gorgeous bride and Shay was a great looking groom!  They were both so cute and it was so fun to see my baby sister get married!!  The wedding was really special and the reception was amazing...What a great day!!!

Today Kaylin went to her 1st day of dance class!  She was SO excited!!  For 2 weeks she has been telling me that she wants to "practice tap, ballet, and jazz!"  She and Savanna had so much fun together...It was so cute!!  She was one happy girl when today finally came!

So here it is...Kaylin's 1st day of preschool!  Yes, I know it is ONLY preschool, but I can't help but feel a little emotional!  I was wondering why I was feeling this way, and once again, it is not the literal fact that she is going to preschool...but it's the "milestone"...the fact that this is just the beginning of her not being with me 24/7!  She just looked like such a big girl and was so ready and excited to go!  The time goes by way too fast!  Thank goodness I still have 2 more years until she goes to Kindergarten!!!

Well, I have lots to catch up on so this is the beginning of lots of pictures (which will come a little later) of Ashlee's wedding festivities!!  We had a shower for her a couple of weeks ago with all of her girlfriends...Tons of fun!!! 

SiLvEr BeAcH...

So this is probably our last beach picture for the summer!  This beach is about 40 min. from us in a town called St. John!  It is on Lake Michigan, but of course feels like you are at the ocean!  I was so surprised because it really was such a beautiful beach!  I guess I just wasn't expecting that here in the midwest!!!  Anyway, this is our last week in South Bend and I am so excited to get back home!!!  The summers are always an adventure and it is fun to live in different parts of the country, but when it's all said and done...there really is no place like home!!
